This Privacy Policy explains how LimeShort ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the LimeShort website at www.limeshort.net and its subdomains (the "Site"), the LimeShort mobile application (the "App"), and the services and features offered through them (together, the "Service").
By using the Service you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
You can browse much of the Service without an account. If you create an account we store your email address, a password hash if you set a password, your nickname and avatar, and your viewing history so that we can keep your progress in sync. We use cookies and similar technologies for basic operation and to measure and personalise what we show you. We do not sell your personal information.
If you sign in with a third-party account such as Google, we receive a limited set of data from that provider, typically a unique account identifier, your email address, your name and your profile picture. We use this only to create and secure your LimeShort account. The third party's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language and playback preferences, and measure aggregate usage. You can control or delete cookies through your browser or device settings; some features may not work properly if you disable them.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:
We operate internationally, so your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one in which you live. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority.
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as we need it to meet the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. Viewing history and similar activity data are normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months of inactivity.
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their place of residence, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service and your account), our legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service, and preventing abuse), your consent (where we ask for it, for example for personalised advertising or marketing messages), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purposes and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your rights, notify us at limeshort.mail@gmail.com with the details listed below and we will review and remove it promptly.
If you are a rights holder and believe that content indexed or displayed through the Service infringes your rights, email limeshort.mail@gmail.com with the subject "Infringement Notice" and the details listed in Section 7 of our Terms of Service. We will remove or disable access to the identified material promptly. Notices may contain personal information such as your name and contact details; we use that information only to handle your request, and it will be retained in line with Section 8.
The Service allows sign-in through third-party providers and may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before using them.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where the changes are material we will provide reasonable notice, for example by email or in the App.
